Animal Rights

Innocent animals everywhere are being tortured for the unnecessary human needs. Animals have rights too. It has been proven that a human can live without eating meat, wearing fur and wool, drinking milk, eating eggs, and wearing animal tested products. I know this is true because I am a vegan, which means that I live my daily life without using any animal products. You may think that eating eggs, drinking milk, and eating dairy products is no big deal but it really is. How do you think it feels to be sucked on all day. In one glass of milk is over 135 million pus cells, 51 milligrams of cholesterol, 300 calories, 16 grams of fat, growth hormones, far amounts of scabs, blood, and acidic protein which leeches calcium from bones! Not only is the dairy industry disappointing but there are still circus animals, fur farm animals, and meat industry.
You go to the circus and see all of the animals, you think about how pretty they look and how talented they are but in reality they aren't that way to begin with. Circus animals have it pretty bad; they're put in circus training camps were they are taught how to perform and behave. Unfortunately the circus animals don't like to learn how to perform so they are whupped, stabbed, and so much more. It's terrible how careless the animal tamers are to the circus animals. Sometimes animals will rebel and break free into cities which results in killing many civilians, then killing the circus animal. I think that what happens is wrong but not only are circus animals on my mind but fur animals as well.
At fur farms animals are fed everyday but not to help them, only to help the person who is buying the animal's fur. I think killing an animal just for his/her fur is wrong and disgraceful. If you have a problem about not wearing real fur there is always foux fur it looks like the real thing, costs less, smells nicer, and is easier to wash. Mainly the thing about fur farms that catches my attention is that the animal doesn't even have to die by natural causes; usually the animal is scalped while still alive. How would you like to be scalped alive? The main thing I'm sure all people think about when they hear animal rights is animal slaughtering.
Slaughtering of animals couldn't be anymore disgusting. As if killing the animal isn't torture enough; farms that raise animals who are slaughtered are uncleanly and tight spaced. The animals on the farms are beaten violently and sometimes so badly beaten that they can't even stand on their own. Trucks that take the animals to slaughtering factories are so crowded that the animals can die on the way there. Chickens are fed so many growth hormones that they get too big to even hold their own body weight; when they get too big their legs break. I know everything about the meat industry is extremely wrong. There is way more I could tell about animal rights but I have to move on to animal testing.
Testing on animals is terribly sad; the animals that are tested on are innocent animals who don't deserve to be there. Some people will look past animal testing but it is really a situation that should be taken care of. You and other people may not know this but most of the time the animals are hurt severely from it. How would you like to be tested on by something that could possibly burn all of your skin off? Would you ever in your life want to have your head cut open and brain connected to a machine?
My overall opinion on these problems is that animal cruelty needs to be stopped. I wish animal cruelty would stop because it's not peaceful. You can sit around and call yourself an environmentalist that eats meat but you'll be wrong. If an environmentalist cares about the earth and having peace, then why in the world would they agree with the torture of innocent animals? To learn more about animal rights you can go to Peta2.com; it's a non-profit organization that informs about animal rights and tells you ways that you can be nice to animals.

If you want to learn more about this problem go to youtube and search the keyword, "30 reasons why 2 go vegetarian." Trust me; if you're a visual learner, you're guaranteed to learn.

Wow, this post is amazing. I've learned so many new things about animal cruelty. I'm seriously considering becoming a vegan (scabs, blood, acidic proteins!) way to go all Bono with your cause. I wish you the best of luck :)
